Welcome to GEB!
The GEB is a community of friends and supporters of the European idea.
The supporters are government agencies, companies, educational institutions and private individuals.
Together, we are trying to improve the European integration, international understanding among nations and a friendly co-operation in Europe and all over the world.
The Association for European Training was founded in 1989, by professors and students at the “Free University of Berlin”. In 2009, a branch office was established in London (UK).
Our fields of expertise are:
- Organising internships in London and UK within the European program “Leonardo da Vinci”
- Networking and further training for teachers
- Organising individual stays abroad for people of all ages
- Arranging new projects within the European Voluntary Service (EVS)
- Developing new projects to enhance the training and further education within Europe.
We are in cooperation with partner organisations in 21 countries from the European Union and several more in the European and International area. Since our foundation, we have been trying to give everyone the opportunity to go abroad, to get to know people from other nationalities and to learn from every personal experience.

New office space

We are thrilled to announce that the GEB has moved to a new location in the heart of Dalston. We spent the previous two and a half years in a building about a mile away from our new location – our old office served us well, and we made great experiences there, but we couldn't be more excited about our new office premises.
The new office is in the Lighthouse Studios – an immensely charming building with strong character – on Shacklewell Lane; the location is putting us right in the middle of creative and vibrant Dalston: and The Guardian says fittingly that ”Dalston E8 now finds itself the unlikely owner of Britain's coolest postcode”.
We're excited about the hustle and bustle happening outside our windows and all of the great restaurants and art galleries within an easy walking distance of the new location.
It has been an exciting three years for GEB, and we look at this new location as the start of another chapter in our history.
