  Enviroment Protection and environmental engineering

Vocational Training Program for students of the secondary school "Humanitas" in Litvinov, Czech Republic. Since 2007 the school is sending groups with the same occupation to Berlin. This year first time they also will sent a group of students together with a tutor to London. The students will have a four week training on the job in different companies and institutions in the enviroment sector. The aim of the project is to show the students how enviromental engineering is practically used in the companies in the UK.

GEB London received a group of 8 participants from the training center ABT (Centre for Employment Promotion and Education) in Berlin. The participants took part in a 12-week programme starting with a one week language course. Afterwards they were placed in different companies and completed an internship according to their skills and previous work experience. The project was founded by the German Job Centre in order to improve the employability on the labour market of each participant.

Project Leonardo da Vinci "A.L.I. - Arts and Labour Immersion" Part I

  

GEB-London received 5 participants from Italy in the period from May to July 2010. They completed an 11-week Leonardo Mobility programme in companies in the event, cultural, and media industry. During their stay they were able to improve their language skills significantly as well as their social, intercultural and professional related skills by living and working with people from another country .

MONA LISA - 12 weeks scholarship holders from Caen, France

A group of professionals from the area of fashion, charity and real estate will take part in the Leonardo Da Vince program “Mona Lisa” in London. Following the language training in the beginning, the participants will undergo an internship in their selected area of work, seeking to further improve the English language, and with newly acquired skills and knowledge, to present a highly valuable workforce for an international labour market.

4-week EU Internships

From 11 April to 8 May we tutored 8 students from Berlin during their apprenticeship as Digital Print and Media Designer. This is our first project in the the field of media design. The students were accommodated in London-based companies to ennhance hard skills in design and print, to increase soft skills and in particular to improve their language skills.
